Romans 10:17 states,
"So faith comes from hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the [preaching of the] message concerning Christ."
When we hear and allow the Word of God to penetrate our heart and mind. That's when true change begins in our lives.
As we begin to hear and speak the Word of God the problems and issues that we had in our life beings to lose its strong hold and affect on us as we began to read our bibles daily.
Our lives start to transform our mindset, behavior, attitudes, and thoughts are all being renewed by the Word of God. We began to see things from a different perspective; a kingdom perspective. That's when our faith and trust in God begins to rise.
But, It's not enough just to hear the word we have to put the word into action.
Philadelphia 4:9 states,
"The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you."
As we put into motion the things we have heard, received, learned and seen. We can begin to experience the full weight
of God's peace, joy, love and glory in our lives.
James 1:22-24
"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like."
When we don't fully receive the Word Of God and just merely listen. We leave room in our lives for self-justification and begin to justify our actions according to our self perspective. Which ends up leading us to self-destruction. That's why it's imperative that we just not merely listen to the word of God but we actually put the word of God into action into our lives.
God's word changes our lives for the better. The enemy will do his part to discourage us and bring negative thoughts to our minds, but he is defeated. Because Christ is in and with us.
Romans 8:37 says,
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
Today, let the Word of God began to graph it's self into your life. Let it change the area that need to be changed and put to action what the Word of God tells you to do.
